Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking an APAC Payments Operations Control – Vice President to lead the development and execution of an enhanced control framework in a fast-moving payments environment.

You will drive top-down risk analysis, strengthen control monitoring, and support timely detection, escalation, and remediation of issues across operations, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial services.
• Understanding of payments products, business, and operations.
• Strong knowledge of risk and control management concepts, including RCSA with business partners.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills for senior stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management across diverse senior partners.
• Ability to analyze program data including risk and performance indicators.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

Responsibilities

• Build a proactive risk and control culture across payments operations with strong change management.
• Lead development and enhancement of the payments operations control framework.
• Deliver end-to-end Risk and Control Self-Assessment with remediation plans.
• Analyze key risk and performance indicators to inform priorities and strategies.
• Drive timely control issue detection, escalation, and root-cause analysis.
• Partner with stakeholders across business, operations, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology controls.
• Provide clear updates to senior management to support prioritization and resource decisions.
• Embed governance routines and control testing to strengthen transparency and accountability.
• Influence control improvements across teams and meet tight deadlines.
