Responsibilities

  • Build a proactive risk and control culture across payments operations with consistent evaluation and change management practices.
  • Lead development and enhancement of the payments operations control framework and integrated risk assessment.
  • Deliver end-to-end execution of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment, identify control gaps and drive remediation plans.
  • Analyze KRIs and KPIs to identify trends and inform priorities and business strategies.
  • Drive timely control issue detection, escalation, root-cause analysis, and remediation tracking.
  • Partner with stakeholders across business, operations, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology controls.
  • Provide clear updates to senior management to support prioritization and resource decisions.
  • Embed documentation, governance routines, and control testing to strengthen transparency and accountability.
  • Influence control improvements across teams beyond direct reporting lines under tight deadlines.

You will partner with senior stakeholders across the business and influence outcomes beyond your direct team. As an APAC Payments Operations Control – Vice President in Operations Control Management team, you will lead the development and execution of an enhanced control framework that supports continuous and integrated risk assessment. You will drive top-down risk analysis, strengthen control monitoring, and support timely detection, escalation, root-cause analysis, and remediation of control issues. You will collaborate closely with partners across operations, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology controls to improve outcomes and support safe business growth. You will work in a culture that values accountability, partnership, and continuous improvement.

You will be a trusted leader for controls across payments operations, helping teams adopt sound change management and consistent evaluation practices. Your work will improve visibility into key risk indicators and performance metrics, enabling earlier issue identification and stronger governance. You will help reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk through disciplined execution and clear stakeholder engagement. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Demonstrated understanding of payments products, business, and operations
  • Strong knowledge of risk and control management concepts, including designing and executing a Risk and Control Self-Assessment with business partners
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, including the ability to present clearly to senior stakeholders
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience aligning across diverse, senior partners
  • Ability to analyze and interpret program data, including key risk indicators and key performance indicators
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)
