Job summary

United Overseas Bank Ltd in Singapore is seeking a senior Control-M/Batch Scheduling Lead to define and manage enterprise batch jobs across multi-platform systems. You will liaise with vendors and internal teams to ensure reliable schedules, resolutions, and continuous improvements.

Strong hands-on Control-M experience is required. Role requires 5+ years in banking environments, experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git) and APIs, and willingness to work odd hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or IT related field.
• At least 5 years' relevant experience preferably in a Finance Institution.
• Hands-on Control-M Workload Automation / Job scheduling experience in large-scale banking environments (5+ yrs).
• Experience using Control-M Utilities for AS400, Mainframe and Open Systems.
• Integration with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git-based deployment) and Control-M Automation API is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to extend work on weekends and after-hours.
• Oversee incident, problem, and change management for batch jobs and scheduling.
• Act as L2 escalation point for critical production issues.

Responsibilities

• Define and setup Job flows in Control-M across multi-platform systems (Mainframe, AS/400, Unix, Windows).
• Check daily job schedules and liaise with Vendors on incidents and problems related to Control-M.
• Collaborate with teams on batch job setup requirements and with Business units on adhoc requests.
• Troubleshoot problems related to Control-M on escalation.
• Provide support to ensure a quality, stable environment for clients.
• Create support documentation to reduce meantime to resolve issues.
• Be flexible to work production support during early morning/late eve/night hours and weekends.
• Lead and manage OJS teams across IH2 and Singapore for enterprise-wide batch scheduling.
• Serve as SME for Control-M, the bank's batch scheduling platform.
• Manage staff maintenance, roster, and special project requirements.
