Hapag-Lloyd is seeking an experienced logistics professional to optimize vessel and voyage utilization on designated services, collaborating with regional commercial and operations teams.

The role focuses on allocation and capacity management across ship systems and trades, liaising with ship planners and QSCs, and supporting cost reduction and schedule reliability. Strong analytical skills and stakeholder communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in vessel utilization and capacity management in shipping.
• Familiarity with commercial guidelines and coordination with regional teams.
• Proactive problem solving with cost-control awareness.

Responsibilities

• Optimization of vessel/voyage utilization on designated services and trades.
• Allocation and Capacity Management on designated Ship Systems / Trades.
• Increase profitability and vessels’ utilization while minimizing costs (storages, renomination).
• Coordinate with ship planners on space-related topics and restrictions.
• Liaise with QSCs for CSB-related topics and PTO topics.
• Collaborate with TM Pricing & Steering on booking development and market conditions.
• Predict voyage utilization.
• Handle special cargo approvals (e.g. OOG, Flexi tank).
• Coordinate with Regions on contingency measures to reduce customer frustration.
• Support decisions to safeguard schedule reliability and cost efficiency.
