Job summary

CU LINES PTE. LTD. is seeking an Assistant Manager, Space Management to optimise vessel capacity and space utilisation across services and trade lanes.

You will manage space allocation, forecast demand, and coordinate with Commercial, Operations, and overseas offices to maximise utilisation and revenue. The role requires a degree in Maritime Studies or related field with 4–5 years of experience in space management or capacity planning within container shipping.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, Business, or related field and 4–5 years in space management or capacity planning.
• Strong coordination and analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Space planning and allocation across services and voyages.
• Prepare and maintain weekly/rolling space forecasts and allocation plans.
• Allocate vessel space among customers and lanes based on demand and priorities.
• Monitor vessel utilization and identify overbooking or under-utilisation.
• Coordinate with overseas offices on space adjustments.
• Monitor booking levels against capacity and adjust forecasts.
• Support Commercial teams with space availability and forecasts.
• Track TEU, weight, and space utilisation by vessel/route.
• Report space utilisation and performance to management.
