Job summary

Pacific Basin Shipping Limited in Singapore is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to own the commercial and operational management of a fleet of dry bulk vessels, handling voyages from fixture through to completion.

You will deliver safe, efficient and profitable voyage outcomes through rigorous planning, execution and optimisation, while coordinating with charterers, shippers, brokers and port authorities.

Qualifications

• University graduate in Shipping, Maritime Studies, Logistics or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience in dry bulk voyage and time charter operations.
• Ability to independently manage voyages from fixture to completion.
• Experience with parcel and breakbulk cargo operations.
• Strong knowledge of dry bulk ports, terminals and trading patterns.
• Good understanding of Charter Party requirements and voyage execution.
• Excellent written and verbal English; communication with vessels and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel regionally and internationally; right to work in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Own commercial and operational management of a fleet of dry bulk vessels.
• Deliver safe, efficient and profitable voyage outcomes through planning and optimisation.
• Coordinate with charterers, shippers, brokers, agents and port authorities.
• Provide guidance and support to less-experienced Operators.
• Contribute to process and systems improvements within Operations.
• Represent the company professionally to customers and market participants.
