BERY MARITIME PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an Operations Executive / Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day dry bulk shipment operations and coordinate across shipowners, charterers, brokers and other parties.

The role emphasizes meticulous attention to detail, strong communication, and ability to manage multiple voyages, with duties spanning post-fixture operations, document reviews, laytime and demurrage handling, and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Prior experience in dry bulk shipping operations, shipbroking, chartering or a related maritime field.
• Strong communication, coordination and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily post-fixture operations for dry bulk vessels, ensuring smooth execution of charter party agreements.
• Liaise closely with shipowners, charterers, brokers, port agents and other stakeholders to facilitate efficient vessel operations.
• Monitor vessel schedules, positions, loading and discharging operations, and provide timely updates to relevant parties.
• Review and manage shipping documentation, including charter parties, notices of readiness (NOR), statements of facts (SOF), bills of lading and other relevant documents.
• Handle laytime calculations, demurrage and despatch claims, ensuring accuracy and timely settlement.
• Monitor charter party obligations and ensure compliance with agreed contractual terms and conditions.
• Assist in resolving operational issues, disputes and claims arising during voyage execution.
• Maintain accurate operational records, voyage reports and documentation.
• Coordinate with internal shipbroking teams to ensure effective communication and smooth handover of fixtures.
• Perform other operational and administrative duties as assigned.
