Job summary

Pacific Carriers Limited in Singapore seeks an experienced Ship Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day vessel operations, including voyage planning, bunkering, port calls, and compliance with charter parties and international regulations.

You will coordinate with commercial, technical and chartering teams, monitor voyage performance, manage risks, and drive efficiency across dry bulk operations while leading a team of deck and technical staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in dry bulk operations and voyage execution.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate performance and costs.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams (commercial, technical, chartering).

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day vessel operations for shipowners or bareboat charters.
• Ensure safe vessel operations in line with regulations and internal procedures.
• Ensure compliance with charter party requirements and port/contractual standards.
• Monitor voyage performance details including off-hire, delays, and demurrage/despatch.
• Arrange bunkers at designated ports and manage invoicing processes.
• Manage disputes with charterers with support from insurers/defence clubs when needed.
