Job summary

Amaris Consulting seeks an experienced Application Support Engineer for VolPay to join a global production support team. You will ensure stability, performance, and availability of a mission‑critical payments platform, supporting SWIFT and ISO 20022 messaging across international operations.

You will handle incidents, monitor processing, manage Docker deployments with Ansible Tower, and participate in ITIL change processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in banking application support or production operations.
• Hands‑on experience supporting VolPay or a similar enterprise payments platform.
• Strong knowledge of international payments, SWIFT, and ISO 20022 messaging.
• Solid experience with Unix/Linux, Docker, Ansible, Shell scripting, IBM MQ, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL, and monitoring tools such as Splunk.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional and technical support for the VolPay (Volante Technologies) payment platform.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents while meeting SLAs and participating in on‑call rotations.
• Monitor and troubleshoot international payment processing, including SWIFT and ISO 20022 messages.
• Manage Docker container deployments and lifecycle using Ansible Tower, including upgrades and releases.
• Troubleshoot across Unix/Linux, IBM MQ, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, ZooKeeper, and APIs.
• Develop shell scripts and enhance monitoring using Splunk to improve operations.
• Support releases, deploy and rollback plans, and contribute to ITIL change processes.
• Drive continuous improvements through automation and proactive monitoring.
