Job summary

Net6tem is seeking an experienced Game Designer to lead design, define systems and architecture for a confidential project. You will own the design process from concept through prototyping and ongoing improvements, collaborating with developers and artists to turn ideas into a scalable experience.

You will build prototypes, run playtests, and define MVP with a long-term partnership mindset. This profit-sharing opportunity emphasizes ownership and potential future commercial success.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience designing and delivering games, with portfolio or prototypes.
• Strong understanding of mechanics, core loops, progression, rewards and motivation.
• Ability to design interconnected systems with rules, dependencies and edge cases.
• Experience with game economy design, resource management and balancing.
• Understanding of engaging monetisation and its impact on player experience.

Responsibilities

• Define the game vision, core loops, rules, objectives and overall experience.
• Design the game’s systems architecture, including mechanics, progression, rewards and content.
• Develop progression systems, balancing models and a sustainable in-game economy.
• Create and maintain the Game Design Document, system diagrams, feature specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Build prototypes and organize playtests to validate gameplay before full development.
• Work with developers on technical feasibility, dependencies and requirements.
• Collaborate with artists, animators and UI/UX designers to ensure visuals support gameplay.
• Define the minimum viable product, priorities features and roadmaps.
• Use player feedback and data to improve onboarding, engagement and retention.
• Anticipate exploits, cheating and balancing problems within the game’s systems.
