Job summary

Seven Executive Limited seeks a VP Data Center Solutions for the APO Region, based in Singapore with significant regional travel. You will own regional strategy, commercial management, and project execution, reporting to the Managing Director.

You will lead a high-performing team across business development and project delivery, driving growth and profitable outcomes for critical data center infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• MBA preferred, but not essential.
• 10+ years' progressive experience in Data Centers, Telecoms or Critical Infrastructure.
• Subject Matter Expert in Data Center Cooling and mission-critical infrastructure.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven P&L ownership.
• Executive-level communication and stakeholder management.
• Extensive network with Hyperscale operators, Co-Location providers and integrators.
• Proven track record of securing and closing high-value opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead regional strategy, commercial management and project execution for the Data Center Solutions business in the APO Region.
• Own overall performance and financial results for the Data Center Solutions business in the region.
• Manage Order Intake, Revenue, Margin, EBIT and Cash Flow with accountability.
• Build, lead and develop a high-performing regional multi-disciplinary team.
• Develop and implement regional Go-To-Market strategy aligned with global plans.
• Lead executive engagement with hyperscale operators and major accounts to secure opportunities.
• Deliver accurate forecasts and drive 100% On-Time Delivery and customer satisfaction.

The Opportunity

The VP Data Center Solutions – APO Region will spearhead the regional strategy, commercial management and project execution for the Data Center Solutions business, delivering significant profitable growth across the APO Region.

The successful candidate will have full end-to-end ownership of the regional business, including commercial performance, project execution and P&L responsibility. Working closely with the global leadership team, this individual will drive strategic growth, strengthen key customer relationships and build a high-performing regional organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Business Leadership

• Spearhead the regional strategy, commercial management and project execution for the Data Center Solutions business, delivering significant profitable growth across the APO Region.
• Own the overall performance of the Data Center Solutions business across the region.
• Hold full financial responsibility for Order Intake, Revenue, Margin, EBIT and Cash Flow.
• Build, lead, mentor and develop a highly capable, multi-disciplined regional team.
• Foster a culture where customer service precision becomes the norm.

Business Development, Sales & Account Management

• Develop and execute the regional Strategic Plan for the Data Center Solutions business.
• Develop and implement the regional Go-To-Market Strategy in alignment with the global business strategy.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline of Data Center opportunities across a diverse customer portfolio.
• Lead executive engagement with Hyperscale operators, Co-Location providers, Contractors and Design Consultants to secure major Data Center accounts.
• Secure high-value orders (circa €5 million–€50 million) through a consultative sales approach, ensuring solutions become the Basis of Design.
• Establish long-term strategic partnerships through Master Purchase Agreements (MPA/MSA) and Long-Term Agreements (LTA).
• Build, develop and mentor a high-performing regional team of Business Development Managers.
• Build and develop a team of multi-disciplined Application Engineers in Singapore and across the wider region.
• Deliver accurate forecasts for Order Intake, Revenue, Margin, EBIT and Cash Flow.
• Monitor industry trends and translate market developments into engineering, product and commercial strategies.
• Represent the Data Center Solutions business at industry events, media engagements and standardisation committees.

Project Execution

• Partner with the Managing Director, Data Center Solutions and the Global Service Director to develop regional project execution strategy and resource planning.
• Develop relationships with local service partners to support project delivery.
• Lead project execution through a team of Senior Project Managers, Project Managers and Commissioning Engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Establish Project Management Offices (PMOs) in strategic regional locations.
• Drive project budget adherence and margin improvement.
• Work closely with the Managing Director of the APO region and regional manufacturing teams to ensure 100% On-Time Delivery (OTD) and customer specification compliance.

Key Attributes

• Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering qualification.
• MBA preferred, but not essential.
• 10+ years' progressive experience within Data Centers, Telecoms or Critical Infrastructure, including at least five years in a senior leadership role.
• Subject Matter Expert with a deep understanding of Data Center Cooling technologies and mission-critical infrastructure.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven P&L ownership.
• Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Well-established network across Hyperscale operators, Co-Location providers, System Integrators and Consulting Engineers.
• Proven track record of securing and closing high-value commercial opportunities.
