Job summary

ONEMT PTE LTD seeks a creative VFX Artist to craft high-impact particle effects and combat feedback for our project. You will design elemental magic, attack slashes, shrine energy fields, and boss abilities that enhance combat feel without cluttering the screen during dense encounters.

Responsibilities include creating textures and shaders, optimizing particle systems for mobile devices, and ensuring telegraphs and status effects remain clear in gameplay.

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio showcasing stylized, action-oriented VFX for games (anime/high-fantasy aesthetic preferred).
• Proficiency in particle systems (Unity VFX Graph / Particle System).
• Ability to author textures, mesh shapes, and flipbooks in Photoshop, Substance, or Houdini.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement stylized visual effects for elemental skill abilities, weapon impacts, environmental hazards, and UI feedback.
• Create custom flipbooks, particle textures, and shader graphs for dynamic visual elements (aura glows, shield barriers, elemental bursts).
• Optimize particle systems, overdraw, draw calls, and texture atlases for stable frame rates on mobile devices.
• Balance visual flair with gameplay readability, ensuring telegraphs, hit areas, and status effects stay clear on small screens.

Key Responsibilities

• Combat & Environmental VFX:Design and implement stylized visual effects for elemental skill abilities (fire, ice, lightning, Aether), weapon impacts, environmental hazards, and UI feedback.
• Texture & Shader Creation:Create custom flipbooks, particle textures, and shader graphs for dynamic visual elements (e.g., aura glows, shield barriers, elemental bursts).
• Performance Optimization:Optimize particle systems, overdraw, draw calls, and texture atlases to ensure stable frame rates across low-to-high-end mobile devices.
• Combat Readability:Balance visual flair with gameplay clarity, ensuring telegraphs, hit areas, and status effects remain clear on small mobile screens.

Requirements

• Strong portfolio showcasing stylized, action-oriented VFX for games (anime/high-fantasy aesthetic preferred).
• Proficiency in particle systems (e.g., Unity VFX Graph / Particle System).
• Ability to author textures, mesh shapes, and flipbooks in Photoshop, Substance, or Houdini.
• Solid understanding of mobile GPU constraints, draw call reduction, and overdraw management.
