Job summary

DIRECT SEARCH ASIA PTE. LTD. is seeking an IT professional to support vessel applications and onboard IT systems across the fleet.

You will install, configure, maintain, and upgrade shipboard software, troubleshoot issues, and assist in deploying digital solutions onboard vessels. The role requires a IT degree/diploma, at least 3 years in maritime IT, strong Windows/Microsoft 365 knowledge, and willingness to travel to vessels.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in IT or related field.
• Minimum 3 years IT support or vessel IT experience in maritime industry.
• Experience with vessel applications, onboard networks, or fleet IT preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365.
• Familiar with maritime communications, satellite connectivity, or shipboard IT.
• Analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel onboard vessels when required.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Experience supporting vessel applications, onboard networks, or fleet IT systems is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with maritime communication systems, satellite connectivity, or shipboard IT infrastructure is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to travel onboard vessels when required.
