Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is actively seeking a diligent Quantity Surveyor in Singapore to manage the contractual and financial aspects of building improvement projects. You will ensure financial health, prepare cost plans, value engineering, and oversee tendering, variations, and final accounts.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying with at least 3 years of relevant experience, familiarity with Singapore contracts, and proficiency in Excel and cost software.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years post-graduation experience as a Quantity Surveyor in Singaporean market is preferred.
• Professional SISV membership is advantageous and helpful for coordination.
• Proficiency in standard measurement methods and cost reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost plans and budgets to establish feasibility.
• Conduct value engineering to optimize costs while maintaining quality.
• Prepare tender documents, Bills of Quantities, specs, and schedules of rates.
• Manage tendering, evaluate submissions, and recommend contractor appointments.
• Monitor cash flow forecasts and value work in progress for interim valuations.
• Negotiate changes to contracts, document variations, and handle claims.
• Maintain cost reports and assist in final account settlement with stakeholders.
• Administer contracts and advise project team on commercial matters.
