Job summary

JLL is seeking a diligent and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The Quantity Surveyor will manage all contractual and financial aspects of building improvement and addition & alteration projects in Singapore.

Your role is to safeguard the financial health of our projects, delivering cost management and contractual advice from inception to final account. You will control costs, maximise value for money, and ensure work complies with legal and quality standards, liaising with

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field.
Minimum 3 continuous years post-graduation experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
SISV membership is advantageous.
Proficiency in MS Office and QS software (CostX, Glodon, Buildsoft).

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost plans and preliminary estimates to establish feasibility and budgets.
Conduct value engineering to optimise project costs without compromising quality.
Prepare tender documents, Bills of Quantities, specs, and schedules of rates.
Manage tendering: issue inquiries, evaluate submissions, advise on contractor appointments.
Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts for projects.
Measure and value work in progress; certify interim payments to contractors.
Administer contracts; advise team on terms and potential disputes.
Liaise with contractors, consultants and suppliers for smooth execution.
Prepare and negotiate final accounts with contractors and sub-contractors.
