Job summary

TRUST RECRUIT PTE. LTD. is offering a permanent role in a central location with a 5-day work week and standard office hours.

You will support clients, troubleshoot trading strategies, and coordinate deployment of trading applications with our software engineers. Ideal candidates have a computer science/engineering background, strong Linux and log-analysis skills, and are comfortable in a fast-paced front-office environment.

Qualifications

• Computer science/engineering degree or related field.
• Experience with Linux OS and Linux-based server applications.
• Strong log analysis skills and root-cause identification.
• Ability to work under pressure in front-office environments.
• Exposure to trading applications and exchange connectivity advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to support requests and enquiries from clients.
• Work directly with clients to understand, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with complex trading strategies.
• Problem solving supporting trading applications and exchange connectivity for Global Derivatives Markets.
• Monitor and respond to alerts for critical systems and escalate when necessary.
• Support customers and resolve issues related to order entry, risk management, and exchange connectivity.
• Analyze complex order and trade histories.
• Coordinate deployment and configuration of trading applications for new customers.
• Manage distribution and installation of software enhancements and upgrades.
• Test and conform new software releases including UAT testing with exchanges.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams on server and network upgrades.
• Liaise with overseas offices to provide seamless 24-hour customer support.

Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to support requests and enquiries from clients.
• Work directly with our clients to understand, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with complex trading strategies. direct lines of communication with our software and infrastructure engineers to help you gain valuable experience and expertise.
• Problem solving supporting trading applications and exchange connectivity for Global Derivatives Markets.
• Actively monitor and respond to alerts for our critical systems and infrastructure, resolving issues wherever possible and escalating to other teams if necessary.
• Support customers and resolve issues related to order entry, risk management, and exchange connectivity.
• Conduct in depth analysis of complex order and trade histories.
• Work directly with new customers to coordinate the deployment and configuration of the company’s trading applications.
• Manage distribution and installation of software enhancements and upgrades.
• Work directly with various exchanges and our software engineers to test and conform new software releases including UAT testing.
• Work with our infrastructure team to test and complete various server and network upgrade projects.
• Liaise with company’s overseas offices to provide seamless 24-hour customer support.

Qualifications:

• Have a Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical degree.
• Experience with, or knowledge of, Linux OS and Linux-based server applications, using Linux command line tools such as grep, sed and awk.
• With strong analytical skills and be able to perform complex log file analysis, allowing you to identify the root cause of issues. You will take pride in identifying and implementing the best solution.
• Working directly with clients in an exciting front-office environment, you can thrive in high pressure or time critical situations.
• Willing to assume responsibility, making timely decisions including to escalating issues when appropriate.
• Enjoy working with and exploring new technologies related to low-latency and algorithmic trading strategies. You will be able to effectively communicate your ideas, proposals, or solutions to a wide range of technical and non-technical audiences.
• You may have previous experience supporting applications that connect to any of the major global derivative’s exchanges such as CME, EUREX, ICE, ASX, SGX or JPX and be familiar with various exchange protocols such as OmNet, ITCH/OUCH and FIX.
• Experience performing basic network troubleshooting using tools such as telnet, tcpdump or ncat will be useful to you in this role.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, any experience with bash or perl scripting and any exposure to public cloud-based providers such as AWS may also benefit you in the role.
