Job summary

The Singapore Public Service, through URA’s Design & Planning Lab (DPLab), seeks a Data Manager to strengthen how planning data is collected, governed, shared and used across government agencies. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to map workflows, identify pain points and drive improvements in data quality and governance.

You will translate planning needs into data, product and engineering requirements, design data pipelines and platforms, and champion the adoption of data and AI

Qualifications

• Experience in the planning sector and understanding planning workflows.
• Knowledge of data management including metadata, governance and lifecycle management.
• Understanding of data pipelines, platforms and integration.
• Awareness of data access, security, governance and responsible data-sharing practices.

Responsibilities

• Map planning workflows, data systems and pain points with agencies.
• Lead business analysis to surface data quality, governance and end-to-end workflows.
• Translate planning and user needs into clear data, product and engineering requirements.
• Partner with technical teams to design and deliver improvements to data pipelines, platforms and applications.
• Represent end-user and planning perspectives in product, solution architecture and infrastructure discussions.
• Own and advance metadata, data access, user governance and compliance practices.
• Drive the evaluation of emerging data and AI technologies through structured testing and practical use cases.
• Spearhead cross-agency initiatives and lead the adoption of DPLab's platforms and capabilities.
