Job summary

The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) in Singapore is seeking a Data Manager to strengthen how planning data is collected, governed and used across government agencies. You will lead analysis to close gaps in data quality, governance and end-to-end workflows while translating planning needs into technical requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning sector with understanding of planning workflows and data requirements.
• Knowledge of data management: quality, metadata, governance, lifecycle management.
• Understanding of data pipelines, platforms and integration.
• Awareness of data access, security and responsible data sharing practices.
• Knowledge of geospatial data, urban analytics or cloud data platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Map planning workflows, data systems and pain points with agencies and stakeholders.
• Lead business analysis to surface data quality and governance gaps.
• Translate needs into clear data, product and engineering requirements.
• Design and deliver improvements to data pipelines, platforms and apps.
• Represent end-user planning perspectives in product and infra discussions.
• Advance metadata, data access and user governance practices.
• Evaluate emerging data and AI tech and recommend adoption paths.
• Drive cross-agency initiatives to adopt DPLab platforms.
