Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking a UAT tester to join our software quality efforts in Singapore. You will plan and execute tests, develop test scenarios, and coordinate test runs with developers and product owners to ensure the product meets specifications.

You will prepare documentation of test cases and communicate issues clearly to stakeholders, leveraging your analytical mindset and strong troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in JIRA, Excel and PowerPoint is expected.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in testing software applications.
• Analytical, inquisitive, results-driven self-starter with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in JIRA and Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Job description

How it works

You'll work closely with application owners and software developers to understand what the product is meant to do, its key features and its workflows. Once you understand what the program is meant to do, you'll then carry out functional testing to ensure that the system works according to its specifications and that it works in a robust manner even in exception scenarios.

What you do

As a UAT tester, you'll plan and conceptualize the necessary tests to be carried out and then organize test runs to ensure the user-friendly rating of the product. You'll execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures, and test system modifications to prepare for implementation. Supported with your strong analytical and communication skills, you will prepare solid documentation of test cases and effectively engage the stakeholders when reporting bugs.

Who you are

• You've got 2 - 5 years of experience in testing a software application and are familiar with testing process and methodologies.
• Analytical, inquisitive, tenacious. You're a results-driven self-starter and an adept problem solver with strong troubleshooting skills.
• You're proficient in JIRA, Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and a savvy user of AI productivity tools.
