Job summary

KPMG Turnaround and Restructuring Services in Singapore seeks a capable analyst to join our team focused on corporate insolvency and restructuring engagements. You will review financial performance, build cash flow projections, and assist in devising practical remedies to stabilise client businesses.

You will liaise with stakeholders, support business development, and collaborate with Partners and Managers on client management.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in corporate/individual insolvency or restructuring.
• Degree in accounting, finance, or business, or professional accounting qualification.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiar with Singapore law on corporate restructuring and insolvency.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Good understanding of business drivers and fundamentals.
• Resourceful, versatile, analytical with good project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis on historical and current financial performance to determine viability and immediate remedies.
• Assist in cash flow projections and validate assumptions and liquidity requirements.
• Liaise with stakeholders in administration of insolvency and restructuring engagements including dealing with creditors, realizing assets, and fulfilling statutory obligations.
• Support business development, including proposals and identification of opportunities.
• Work closely with Partners and Managers on client management and business development.

As a restructuring and insolvency specialist, you will be part of a team who are dedicated to their craft in bringing practical solutions to our clients and their stakeholders, with hands‑on involvement in the implementation of restructuring and insolvency plans.

The Role:

• Performing analysis on the historical and current financial performance of the client to determine the viability of the business and identifying immediate remedies to resuscitate the business;
• Assisting the client in the preparation of cash flow projection and ascertain the validity of the assumptions adopted and liquidity requirements of the client;
• Liaising with various stakeholders of the client in administration of various forms of corporate insolvency and restructuring engagements (such as judicial management, liquidation and receivers and managers) including dealing with creditors’ queries, recovering and realizing assets and fulfilling the statutory obligations of the administrators;
• Supporting the business development initiatives, including the preparation of proposals and identification of opportunities.
• Working closely with Partners and Managers on client management and business development activities.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in corporate/individual insolvency and/or restructuring exercise
• Possess a Degree in accountancy, or Finance or Business or professional qualification in accounting
• Proficient with the Microsoft office applications
• Be familiar with the applicable Singapore law on corporate restructuring and insolvency
• Be able to work in teams with good interpersonal skills
• Possess a good understanding of business drivers and their fundamentals
• Be resourceful, versatile, analytical and possess good project management skills
