Job summary

RECRUIT NOW SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Senior Export Shipping Manager to lead the export shipping team in Tuas and oversee daily export operations.

You will set KPIs, monitor performance, ensure ISO 9001 compliance, and manage complete shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, B/L and certificates. The role requires 7–10 years in shipping/logistics with at least 3 years in management.

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma in relevant field.
• 7–10 years in shipping/logistics, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Certifications in logistics, trade compliance, or supply chain (e.g., FIATA, CITP, APICS/CSCP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train and mentor the Export Shipping Team.
• Set and monitor department KPIs and ensure team performance.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and maintain proper records.
• Manage daily export shipping and forwarding operations.
• Oversee complete shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, B/L, certificates and L/C documents.
• Ensure customs declarations and export activities comply with Singapore and international regulations.
• Coordinate with customers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, hauliers and statutory authorities.
• Provide logistics solutions based on customer requirements and handle enquiries, complaints and disputes.
• Negotiate freight rates and free-time extensions with shipping lines and forwarders.
• Manage logistics vendors and verify warehousing, loading and packing costs.
• Plan and monitor shipment schedules and activities to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare and manage sales contracts, forecasts and shipping reports.
• Analyse shipping performance and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Work closely with senior management, including the Executive Chairman and Joint CEO, on customer and logistics matters.
