Job summary

Persol Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Telecommunications/LAN engineer to support deployment of network infrastructure. You will conduct site surveys, readiness checks and support installation, commissioning and maintenance of network equipment.

Responsibilities include alarm verification, fault analysis, UAT support, and documentation. Mandarin fluency is essential for coordination with the China HQ team, and occasional travel to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/Electrical & Electronic/Telecommunications or related field.
• Experience in telecom, 5G deployment, site surveys, testing and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols (OSPF/EIGRP).
• Proficiency in Mandarin for cross-border communication with China stakeholders.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and deployment of telecommunication and network infrastructure projects.
• Conduct and support site surveys, deployment readiness checks and technical site assessments.
• Support installation, commissioning and maintenance activities for network equipment.
• Perform network alarm verification, fault analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Support network testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test execution, result validation, issue tracking and documentation.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of IP and transmission network solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, test records, site documentation and other project-related documents.
• Coordinate with customers, subcontractors and internal engineering teams to resolve deployment and technical issues.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support and participate in ad-hoc standby duties when required.
• To collaborate and communicate directly with Chinese speaking officers, stakeholders, counterparts, and customers in China HQ team

Job Requirements

• Minimum a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience exposure in telecommunications, 5G network deployment, site survey, network testing and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP and computer networking fundamentals, including Routing & Switching, OSPF, EIGRP, VLAN, DHCP, ACL and IPsec.
• Experience in network troubleshooting, alarm verification, UAT/OAT, technical documentation and site coordination.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to support cross-border collaboration, policy and document interpretation, and communication with the Chinese-speaking stakeholders, including head office, business counterparts, and customers based in China.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and support ad-hoc standby or on-site duties when required by business needs.
