Key responsibilities

• Develop and design comprehensive training programmes tailored to the needs of the organisation, including induction programmes, operational training, and professional development initiatives
• Assess training needs across departments through consultations with management and performance evaluations to identify skill gaps and development opportunities
• Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and seminars to staff at all levels, utilising varied delivery methods including face-to-face, e-learning, and blended approaches
• Manage the training budget and procurement of training materials, resources, and external training providers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality outcomes
• Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback mechanisms, and performance metrics to measure return on investment and continuous improvement
• Maintain detailed training records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational policies
• Collaborate with departmental heads and senior management to align training initiatives with business strategy and organisational goals
• Mentor and coach employees on career development pathways and support succession planning initiatives
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in training and development to ensure our programmes remain relevant and competitive
• Create and maintain training content, including manuals, guides, and digital resources that support employee learning

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a training and development role, preferably within the hospitality, service, or related industries
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering effective training programmes and workshops across diverse audiences
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training evaluation frameworks
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and engagingly to audiences at all levels
• Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Proven ability to analyse training needs and translate them into measurable learning outcomes
• Experience in budget management and cost control related to training functions
• Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• ACTA qualifications or other training certifications would be advantageous
