Job summary

The Aurora Art Beauty & Wellness Academy is seeking a dedicated Trainer in Singapore to deliver comprehensive beauty, wellness, massage, facial and spa therapy training. You will ensure high-quality theoretical and practical learning outcomes, while supporting students from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities cover classroom and workshop delivery, assessment, curriculum alignment, and student guidance; you will develop lesson plans, update training materials, and participate in course

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Beauty, Wellness, Massage, Facial, Spa Therapy or related field.
• Relevant teaching/training qualification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' relevant industry experience preferred.
• Practical experience in beauty, wellness, spa or massage services.
• Previous teaching or training experience is an advantage.

Job description

1. Job Purpose

The Trainer is responsible for delivering professional training in beauty, wellness, massage, facial, body therapy and related subjects. The Trainer will ensure that students receive high-quality theoretical and practical training and achieve the required learning outcomes.

The successful candidate should be passionate about education, professional training and the beauty & wellness industry, with strong communication and practical teaching skills.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Training & Teaching

• Conduct classroom, practical and workshop-based training.
• Deliver lessons according to the approved course syllabus and training schedule.
• Explain theoretical concepts clearly and demonstrate practical techniques.
• Provide demonstrations and supervise students during practical sessions.
• Adapt teaching methods according to students' learning abilities and experience.
• Conduct revision, tutorials and additional coaching where required.
• Support both local and international students.

B. Student Assessment

• Prepare and conduct practical and theoretical assessments.
• Mark assignments, tests and practical examinations fairly and consistently.
• Maintain accurate student assessment records.
• Provide constructive feedback to students.
• Identify students who require additional academic or practical support.
• Participate in examination and assessment activities when appointed.

C. Course & Training Materials

• Prepare lesson plans, training materials, demonstrations and practical exercises.
• Review and update training materials when required.
• Contribute ideas for improving courses and training methods.
• Ensure training materials are aligned with the approved curriculum.

D. Student Support

• Guide students regarding their learning progress and career development.
• Maintain professional relationships with students.
• Support international students with appropriate academic guidance.
• Escalate academic or student issues to the School Manager where necessary.

E. Quality & Compliance

• Follow the Academy's academic policies, SOPs and quality assurance procedures.
• Maintain professional training standards.
• Attend Academic Board, Examination Board or trainer meetings when required.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and company information.
• Comply with workplace health, safety and hygiene requirements.

3. Job Requirements

Education

• Relevant qualification in Beauty, Wellness, Massage, Facial, Spa Therapy, Body Therapy or a related field.
• Relevant teaching/training qualification is preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years' relevant industry experience preferred.
• Practical experience in beauty, wellness, spa, massage or related services.
• Previous teaching or training experience is an advantage.

Skills
