Job summary

Heraeus Materials Singapore Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a driven trading professional to build relationships with customers and partners in the Precious Metals market.

You will identify and develop opportunities, expanding minor metals trading regionally and coordinating with global desks to ensure a cohesive market approach. Regular travel to customer sites and industry events will be required as you support Heraeus’ metal sales and recycling activities while maintaining discretion and

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and trading partners.
• Identify new business opportunities in the Precious Metals market.
• Expand trading activities for minor metals (rhodesium? rhodium? rhodium, iridium, ruthenium) in the region.
• Coordinate with German, US and Chinese trading desks and Asia sales teams.
• Support other Heraeus units in precious metal sales and recycling metal purchasing.
• Travel to customer sites and industry events to strengthen relationships.

Job description

• In your role, you will build and maintain strong relationships with customers and trading partners while identifying new business opportunities in the Precious Metals market.
• A particular focus will be on expanding trading activities for minor metals, including rhodium, iridium, and ruthenium in the region.
• By leveraging market research, industry insights, and proactive outreach, including cold calling, you will identify new leads and develop channels for the purchase and sale of precious metals. In addition, you will communicate trading and hedging strategies to customers and business partners.
• Keeping up to date with market developments, industry trends, and global events will be key to recognizing opportunities and supporting informed commercial decisions.
• Working closely with the German, US and Chinese trading desks, you will coordinate activities with local sales colleagues across Asia, including Taiwan, Korea, and Hong Kong, to ensure a consistent market approach.
• You will also support other Heraeus business units in precious metal sales and recycling metal purchasing activities, while representing Heraeus at industry associations and events such as the SBMA.
• Regular travel to customer sites and industry events will be part of the role to strengthen relationships and expand your professional network. Throughout all activities, sensitive and confidential information must be handled with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
