Job summary

CITIC COMMODITIES PTE. LTD. is seeking a Trade Operations professional to support traders, record transactions, track shipments, and manage accounts to improve operational efficiency.

You will draft contracts, input transaction details into the ERP/OA system, monitor shipments and receivables, and liaise with ports, freight forwarders, and warehousing teams. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years in commodities trade with fluency in English and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above.
• 3–5 years of relevant trade operations experience.
• Experience in commodities trading.
• Familiarity with UCP600, FOSFA, and bulk agricultural commodity trading.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin to liaise with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist traders in preparing trade summaries and drafting contracts to support accurate transaction processing.
• Input complete transaction details into the business system to maintain precise position records.
• Monitor shipment status, inventory levels, accounts receivable and payable to ensure smooth trade operations.
• Handle shipment documentation, customs clearance, delivery, and settlement under contracts to ensure compliance.
• Liaise daily with ports, freight forwarders, local surveyors, and internal warehousing and logistics teams to coordinate inland transportation and local delivery of imported cargo.
• Conduct profit and loss reconciliation and support cash flow forecasting to maintain financial accuracy.
• Support new business development initiatives by providing operational assistance and relevant business information.
• Participate in testing new internal business system projects to enhance operational workflows.
• Collaborate with various functional departments by providing required business information upon request.
• Perform other assigned tasks to support departmental objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant trade operations experience
• Experience in commodities trading
• Familiarity with UCP600, FOSFA, and bulk agricultural commodity trading
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Excel and PowerPoint
• Prior experience with ERP and OA systems
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin to liaise with English and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently
