Job summary

Onyx Singapore Pte Ltd's client, a state-owned commodities company, seeks a Trade Support Officer to assist the trading team across the full trade lifecycle from execution to settlement in Singapore. The role involves ensuring accurate trade capture, proper contract administration, and smooth physical shipments across international markets.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will work closely with traders and internal stakeholders, with opportunities for progression into a junior trading role

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of working/internship experience within Commodities trading house.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms, UCP600 and ISBP.

Responsibilities

• Support trading team across full lifecycle from trade execution to settlement.
• Coordinate with traders and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate capture and settlement.
• Assist in contract administration and ensure smooth physical shipments across markets.

Our client, a state-owned company within the commodities sector with over S$2 billion in operating revenue, is seeking for a Trade Support Officer.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Trade Support Officer will support the trading team across the full trade lifecycle, from trade execution through to settlement. The role will work closely with traders and internal stakeholders to ensure trades are accurately captured, contracts are properly administered and physical shipments are executed smoothly across international markets.

Successful candidates can expect to work in a reputable organization with strong career progression opportunities to transit into a junior trading role.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Possess at least a Degree in Finance or equivalent
• At least 1 year of working/ internship experience within Commodities trading house (ideally with exposure to metals and minerals)
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms, UCP600, ISBP
• Fluency in Mandarin is required to communicate to Chinese counterparts
