Job summary

SSMC in Singapore is seeking an Engineer to join the Thin Film team to sustain and improve equipment performance and meet operations goals. You will establish systems and guidance for reliable fab performance.

The role involves shift support for production, PM/calibration, installation of new equipment, and driving continuous improvement in the Module. Candidates with 1–3 years wafer fab experience and AMAT Endura 5500 familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• MSc/ Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Mechanical/ Microelectronics / Chemical Process Technology or equivalent.
• Preferably 1-3 years semiconductor wafer fab experience as an Equipment Engineer.
• Engineering knowledge: semiconductor devices theory, electronics, control systems, wafer fabrication processes, pump and vacuum systems, electrical wiring.
• Strong teamwork and analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Experience with AMAT Endura 5500 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish systems/guidance to sustain and improve equipment performance indices.
• Perform shift duties to support Production and ensure equipment readiness.
• Conduct scheduled PMs, calibration, and troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime.
• Install and hook up new equipment.
• Carry out tasks with zero error.
• Establish work procedures, corrective actions and preventions.
• Oversee provisioning of consumables/preventive maintenance parts.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs to improve productivity and output quality.
• Assist in implementing and managing process improvement projects.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices in the Fab.
• Safe custody of tools, equipment and other properties belonging to the Module.
• Initiate, organize, develop and lead task-force for short term problem solving and long term continuous improvement.

What you will be working on:

More About You:

• MSc/ Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Mechanical/ Microelectronics / Chemical Process Technology or equivalent
• Preferably 1-3 years semiconductor wafer fab experience as an Equipment Engineer
• Engineering knowledge, which may include semiconductor devices theory, electronics, electrical/ pneumatic/ hydraulic control system, digital principle, wafer fabrication processes, pump and vacuum system and electrical wiring system
