Job summary

SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) is seeking a Principal Equipment Engineer for the Thin Film department. You will support startup and maintenance of CVD/PVD equipment to sustain daily production and meet targets.

The role requires 3-5 years in semiconductor manufacturing, hands-on expertise with AMAT Centura, HDP/Producer, or Lam Sequel, and a strong background in semiconductor processes. Willingness to work rotating shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Engineering (Mechanical/Mechatronic/Electrical/Electronic) is required.
• 3–5 years’ experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment is required.
• Knowledge of AMAT Centura, HDP, Producer or Lam Sequel is preferred.
• Background in semiconductor manufacturing with strong hands-on expertise is desired.

Responsibilities

• Support CVD/ PVD equipment engineering activities to meet operation targets and objectives.
• Participate in CI initiatives for cost, yield, productivity and uptime improvements.
• Lead new equipment startup and relocations to support the production plan.
• Own uptime, scrap reduction, parts management and maintenance effectiveness.

SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.), is a Joint Venture between NXP and TSMC. We offer flexible and cost effective semiconductor fabrication solutions by maintaining fully equipped SMIF cleanroom environment, 100% equipment automation and proven wafer-manufacturing processes.

We’re searching for a Principal Equipment Engineer to be part of our Thin Film department diverse team of talent. You will be responsible for supporting Thin Film Equipment startup, maintenance and related activities to support daily production and achieve operation targets.

What you will be working on:

• Support CVD/ PVD equipment engineering related activities to achieve operation targets and meet company objectives
• Participate in Continuous Improvement for Cost, Yield, Productivity and Uptime
• New Equipment Startup and Relocation to support Production Plan
• Tool Ownership and accountability for Uptime, Wafers scrap, Parts Management, Equipment Down Memo Reduction
• Troubleshoot and resolve Equipment issues to support daily production
• Review and optimize equipment maintenance procedures
• Consumable and spare management ensure adequate provision
• Participate in technology transfer from motherfab
• Participate in implementation of TSMC/NXP BKMs and generate SSMC BKMs
• Update of OIs and SOPs to document real and best practices
• Preventive Maintenance Planning and alignment of schedule with Manufacturing
• Conduct Training and certification for new PM crew in terms of Hands on and Theory
• Drive Manufacturing for Monitoring Time reduction to improve Uptime
• Lead/ Participate in Transform Platform and generate LSS, BKMs and Trade Secrets for value creation for the company
• Able to perform weekend 12-hour shift or Swing Shift or any shift pattern as defined by Manager

More About You:

• Bachelor in Engineering (Mechanical/Mechatronic/Electrical/Electronic)
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment
• Knowledge in the AMAT Centura/ HDP/ Producer/ Lam Sequel
• A strong background and experience in semiconductor manufacturing
