Job summary

SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Operations Division, Thin Film Department.

You will support CVD equipment engineering to achieve targets, participate in continuous improvement for cost, yield, and uptime, and assist with new equipment startups and relocations to meet production plans. Ideal candidates have a relevant engineering degree and at least 3 years in semiconductor manufacturing, with hands-on troubleshooting and strong

Qualifications

• Master/ Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 3+ years’ experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with SEMI equipment and MS Office.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and communicate clearly.
• Leadership qualities and ability to train/guide others.

Responsibilities

• Support CVD equipment engineering activities to meet operation targets.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement for Cost, Yield, Productivity and Uptime.
• New equipment startup and relocation to support production plan.
• Lead uptime improvement through preventive maintenance and parts management.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and optimize maintenance procedures.
• Contribute to technology transfer and BKM implementation.
• Shift flexibility as defined by management.

We’re searching for a Senior Engineer to be part of our Operations Division, Thin Film Department diverse team of talent.

What you will be working on

• Support CVD equipment engineering related activities to achieve operation targets and meet company objectives
• Participating in Continuous Improvement for Cost, Yield, Productivity and Uptime
• New Equipment Startup and Relocation to support Production Plan
• Tool Ownership and accountability for Uptime, Wafers scrap, Parts Management, Equipment Down Memo Reduction
• Troubleshoot and resolve Equipment issues to support daily production
• Review and optimize equipment maintenance procedures
• Consumable and spare management ensure adequate provision
• Participate in technology transfer from motherfab
• Participate in implementation of TSMC/NXP BKMs and generate SSMC BKMs
• Update of OIs and SOPs to document real and best practices
• Preventive Maintenance Planning and alignment of schedule with Manufacturing
• Conduct Training and certification for new PM crew in terms of Hands on and Theory
• Drive Manufacturing for Monitoring Time reduction to improve Uptime
• Lead/ Participate in Transform Platform and generate LSS, BKMs and Trade Secrets for value creation for the company
• Able to perform weekend 12-hour shift or Swing Shift or any shift pattern as defined by Manager

More about you

• Master/ Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics Engineering
• At least 3 years’ experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge in the following tool types AMAT Endura, Centura WxZ, Novellus Altus, Tel Scrubber, Jusung Eureka
• Basic engineering knowledge, which should include at least two of the following
• Theory of Semiconductor Physics
• Principles of Digital Electronics
• Semiconductor Wafer Fabrication Processing
• Pump and Vacuum systems
• Electrical wiring systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Good ability and experience working in a multi-cultural environment
• Clear and concise presentation skills
• Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills
• Team Player
• Positive learning attitude with strong sense of responsibility
• Able to act and make sound decisions independently
• Leadership qualities such as leading, motivating, developing others
