Job summary

SSMC in Singapore is seeking an Engineer to join the Thin Film team. You will establish systems and guidance to sustain and improve all equipment performance indices to meet operations goals.

You will perform shift duties, schedule PMs, troubleshoot equipment, install new gear, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in the Fab. A degree in relevant engineering with 1–3 years wafer-fab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• MSc/ degree in relevant engineering; semiconductor wafer fab experience preferred.
• 1-3 years semiconductor wafer fab experience as Equipment Engineer.
• Knowledge of semiconductor devices theory, electronics, control systems, wafer fabrication processes, pump and vacuum systems.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Establish systems and guidance to sustain and improve equipment performance indices.
• Perform shift duties to support Production in the Module and ensure equipment readiness for production.
• Carry out scheduled PM, calibration and troubleshoot equipment-related problems to minimize downtime.
• Install and hook-up of new equipment.
• Perform tasks with zero error and maintain equipment housekeeping.
• Develop and implement corrective actions and preventive actions.
• Prepare consumables and PM parts to ensure adequate stock.
• Participate in CI programs to improve productivity and module output quality.
• Lead improvement projects and manage process optimization.
• Ensure safety practices in Fab and secure tools and equipment.

We're searching for an Engineer to be part of our Thin Film diverse team of talent. You will be responsible to establish systems/guidance in sustaining and improving all equipment performance indices to meet operations goals.

What you will be working on:

• Establish systems/guidance in sustaining and improving all equipment performance indices to meet operations goals.
• Perform shift duties to support the running of Production in the Module and ensure equipment readiness and worthiness for production when requested.
• Perform scheduled equipment preventive maintenance (PM), calibration and troubleshoot equipment-related problems on a timely basis to minimize equipment downtime.
• Conduct installation and hook-up of new equipment.
• Perform task with zero error.
• Establish work procedures, corrective actions and preventions
• Oversee the preparation of consumables/preventive maintenance parts to ensure adequate provision.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs to improve productivity and output quality of the Module, and constantly monitor and feedback to the team to improve performance of equipment to meet Module objectives.
• Assist in implementing and managing process improvement projects.
• Ensure good housekeeping and safety practices in the Fab.
• Safe custody of tools, equipment and other properties belonging to the Module.
• Initiate, organize, develop and lead task-force for short term problem solving and long term continuous improvement.

More About You:

• MSc/ Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Mechanical/ Microelectronics / Chemical Process Technology or equivalent
• Preferably 1-3 years semiconductor wafer fab experience as an Equipment Engineer
• Engineering knowledge, which may include semiconductor devices theory, electronics, electrical/ pneumatic/ hydraulic control system, digital principle, wafer fabrication processes, pump and vacuum system and electrical wiring system
• Good Team Player
