Job summary

SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) is a Joint Venture between NXP and TSMC, seeking an Equipment Engineer for the Diffusion (CMP) Department.

You will sustain and improve equipment performance, perform shift duties, and optimize uptime while ensuring compliance with ISO standards and quality systems. The role requires a degree or diploma in engineering with semiconductor experience, high vacuum maintenance skills, and the ability to read electrical and pneumatic

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechatronics/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering with semiconductor equipment maintenance experience.
• 1–3 years relevant semiconductor manufacturing experience; fresh graduates welcome.
• Experience with High Vacuum maintenance and ability to interpret schematics.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and improve equipment performance indices to meet operations goals.
• Perform shift duties based on rotation systems to support production.
• Optimize equipment uptime and reliability through scheduled and recovery maintenance.
• Forecast and establish stock levels of spares and consumables within budget.
• Start-up new equipment from facilities hook-up to acceptance of equipment.
• Document corrective actions and best-known methods for troubleshooting.

We’re searching for an Equipment Engineer to be part of our Diffusion (CMP) Department diverse team of talent.

What you will be working on:

• To sustain and improve all equipment performance indices to meet operations goals
• Perform shift duties based on rotation systems to support production
• Optimize equipment uptime/ reliability through scheduled & recovery maintenance.
• Control equipment performance indices to meet BBS goals
• Comply to ISO standards and Quality systems of the company
• Forecast/ establish stock levels of spares and consumables to meet manufacturing capacity within allocated budget
• Establish and maintain preventive maintenance OI to standardize equipment practice
• Train/ mentor AEs to through OJT and continually upgrade their technical skills to cope with technological changes
• Recommend improvement to enhance capabilities, reliability or cost saving
• Participate in CIT team/ task force to optimize equipment performance and COO
• Start-up new equipment to support production ramp, from facilities hook-up, vendor start-up, to acceptance of equipment.
• Documentation of Corrective Action and Best-Known Methods for equipment to allow more efficient troubleshooting
• Ensure good housekeeping and safety practices in the work area.

More about you:

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering
• Diploma in Mechatronics/ Electronics/ Mechanical Engineering with at least 4 years of semiconductor equipment maintenance experience.
• 1-3 years relevant experience in the semiconductor manufacturing environment. Fresh Degree holders are welcome to apply.
• High Vacuum maintenance experience
• Basic semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment/ process knowledge
• Able to interpret electrical/ pneumatic schematic drawings
• Team Player
• Possess a strong sense of responsibility
