Job summary

National Arts Council Singapore seeks an Assistant Manager / Manager (Performing Arts – Theatre) to drive theatre sector development under Our SG Arts Plan. You will support audience development, administer grant programmes, and coordinate with artists and stakeholders to advance the local theatre ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with theatre sector is an advantage.
• Understanding of funding schemes, grants and support structures.
• Experience managing funding schemes and adherence to SOPs.
• Experience supporting projects from conception to implementation.
• Ability to research trends and identify issues in the arts sector.
• Ability to interpret data to inform decision making.
• Strong relationships with artists, arts groups and stakeholders.
• Ability to articulate rationale, manage expectations and foster dialogue.
• Willingness to engage with the arts community through performances, events and media.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of Theatre sector development initiatives under the Our SG Arts Plan.
• Research sector trends and opportunities to support strategic planning.
• Assist in assessment, monitoring and review of project proposals.
• Prepare briefing materials, presentations and reports for decisions.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders during project execution.
• Support stakeholder engagement across planning and implementation phases.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with artists, arts groups and sector stakeholders.
• Monitor sector developments through performances, events, networking, and media channels.
• Gather stakeholder feedback on policies, programmes and sector issues.
