Job summary

National Arts Council in Singapore seeks an Assistant Manager/Manager (Performing Arts – Theatre) to support the growth of the theatre sector within the performing arts ecosystem. You will help implement strategic initiatives, administer grant programmes, and coordinate with stakeholders to sustain the sector.

You will assist in research, monitoring, reporting, and ensuring timely grant processing while contributing to team effectiveness and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage partnerships with artists, arts groups, and sector stakeholders.
• Experience with contracts, governance processes and risk awareness.
• Ability to manage project timelines and deliverables across multiple initiatives.
• Experience processing funding-related activities and claims is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and growth of Singapore's Theatre sector.
• Assist in implementing audience development and ecosystem sustainability initiatives.
• Administer grant programmes and ensure timely disbursement of payments.
• Engage internal teams and external stakeholders during project implementation.
• Support stakeholder engagement and maintain professional relationships with arts groups.
• Monitor sector developments through performances, events, and media channels.
