Job summary

HOYA Electronics Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Production Technician to support efficient, reliable production line operations. You will collaborate with the production team to maintain consistent process performance and deliver high-quality outputs.

The role requires a NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (fresh graduates welcome) and 1–2 years in the semiconductor sector preferred. Candidates should be able to work a 12-hour rotating day/night shift in a cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering; fresh graduates may apply, OR
• 1–2 years of relevant semiconductor industry experience in equipment maintenance or related roles is preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and carry out manufacturing processes in line with established procedures, ensuring safety, efficiency, and consistent product quality
• Prepare raw materials, manage and monitor inventory levels, perform visual quality inspections, and track downtime and yield to support process optimization
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date records of production activities, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with requirements
• Provide support for additional operational tasks and carry out ad hoc duties assigned by the supervisor to ensure smooth workflow

This role is essential in sustaining productivity and quality standards, contributing to the delivery of high-quality products to customers.

• Prepare raw materials, manage and monitor inventory levels, perform visual quality inspections, and track downtime and yield to support process optimization
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date records of production activities, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with requirements
• Provide support for additional operational tasks and carry out ad hoc duties assigned by the supervisor to ensure smooth workflow

Skills and Competencies Profile

Required Qualifications:

• NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering; fresh graduates may apply, OR
• 1 - 2 years of relevant working experience in the semiconductor industry, or prior experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, or related roles, is preferred

Technical Skills:

• Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

Soft Skills:

• Able to work independently with initiative and accountability in a fast-paced environment
• Strong team player with good communication and problem-solving skills
• Adaptable and detail-oriented

Additional Information

• Willing to work in a 12-hour rotating day / night shift (4 working days / 3 rest days / 3 working days / 4 rest days)
• Able to work in a cleanroom environment and perform overtime as and when necessary
