ASMPT Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Technician to perform precision assembly, setup, calibration and testing in line with specifications and work instructions. The role supports Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure product quality, performance and on-time delivery.
The position is contract-based, with renewal dependent on performance and business needs, and requires hands-on experience with small-part handling, inspection and measurement equipment in a fast-paced facility in Singapore.
The Technician is responsible for performing precision assembly, setup, calibration, testing and qualification activities in accordance with established specifications and work instructions. The role supports Engineering and Manufacturing operations to ensure product quality, performance and delivery requirements are achieved.
Note: This is a contract position. Contract renewal will be subject to performance and business requirements.
Perform precision assembly, setup, alignment and calibration of products and related sub-assemblies in accordance with engineering specifications, work instructions and quality standards.
Perform controlled bonding, adhesive application, mechanical fastening and other critical assembly processes while ensuring workmanship and process requirements are met.
Conduct electrical, mechanical and functional testing and performance verification using test equipment, fixtures and measurement system.
Perform visual inspection using microscopes and precision measurement equipment to verify product acceptance criteria.
Support prototype builds, engineering evaluations and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
Perform basic troubleshooting on assembly, testing and calibration issues, and elevate complex issues when required.
Maintain accurate production, assembly, test, inspection and traceability records in accordance with manufacturing and quality requirements.
Maintain equipment, tools and fixtures in good operating condition and support proper housekeeping and safe handling practices.
Comply with applicable quality procedures, safety requirements and manufacturing standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to product quality, process efficiency and productivity.
Hands‑on experience in precision mechanical or electromechanical assembly, including small-part handling.
Familiarity with bonding/adhesive process, microscope, testing, calibration and measurement equipment.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
Basic knowledge of electrical measurement, calibration, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Good attention to detail, workmanship and quality awareness.
Familiarity with manufacturing, NPI or engineering support environments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Diploma / NTC / Higher NITEC in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Precision Engineering or a related discipline.
1 to 3 years of relevant experience in assembly, testing, calibration or manufacturing operations.
Experience in semiconductor, electronics, automation, precision engineering or related industries will be an advantage.
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to support overtime or shift activities when required.
