Job summary

ASMPT Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Technician to support daily production operations, perform equipment and process checks, and assist in manufacturing readiness and process improvements on the shop floor. • NITEC or higher qualification in mechanical/manufacturing fields.
• 1–3 years in semiconductor/electronics/manufacturing environments.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated, hands-on, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support daily manufacturing operations and assist in resolving process-related issues on the production floor.
• Perform equipment, tooling, and process checks to ensure smooth production operations.
• Support engineering builds, product trials, NPI, and product transfer activities.
• Collect production and process data for analysis and reporting.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineers in troubleshooting manufacturing issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Support engineering change implementation and ensure manufacturing documentation is updated accordingly.
• Prepare and maintain work instructions, process records, checklists, and manufacturing reports.
• Participate in continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S initiatives.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to support manufacturing objectives.

ASMPT Singapore is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Technician to support manufacturing operations and engineering activities. Working closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Production, and Quality teams, the incumbent will support process improvement initiatives, engineering builds, new product introduction (NPI) activities, and manufacturing readiness. This role is suitable for individuals who enjoy technical problem-solving, continuous improvement, and working in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or related disciplines.

• Preferably 1–3 years of experience in semiconductor, electronics, precision engineering, or manufacturing environments.

• Experience supporting production operations, engineering builds, or process improvement activities.

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and root cause troubleshooting.

• Ability to read and follow technical instructions, procedures, and documentation.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Self-motivated, hands-on, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or continuous improvement methodologies.

• Experience supporting NPI or engineering change activities.

• Familiarity with ERP/MRP or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

• Basic understanding of quality tools such as SPC, PFMEA, or corrective action methodologies.

• Experience in semiconductor equipment, automation, precision assembly, or manufacturing processes will be an advantage.
