Qualifications

• At least NITEC in Chemical Process Technology, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical and Life Sciences or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment, production operations, GMP/GDP manufacturing or related sectors.
• Comfortable lifting heavy weights.
• Forklift Licence is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Handle technical tasks to support operations and enhance efficiency within defined procedures.
• Work with saline solutions and mix compound ingredients for various formulations.
• Perform maintenance on equipment like pumps, homogenizers, filter presses, and tablet compression machines.
• Follow standard operating procedures to meet GMP standards and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with GxP requirements by inspecting products and maintaining documentation.
• Stay current with field advances and apply agile problem-solving by testing, iterating, and refining solutions.
• Participate in team projects to develop process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures.
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
• Make minor decisions within task scope, requiring enhanced technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Commit to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance in operations.

Job Summary

As a Technician II under our Chemical Production Department, you will be responsible for all the routine and non-routine processes of chemical formulations (Lens formulation materials, in-process solutions, in-package saline solutions) Operations in our Tuas Plant.

Typical Day

• Handle technical tasks to support operations and enhance efficiency within defined procedures
• Work with saline solutions and mix compound ingredients for various formulations
• Perform maintenance on equipment like pumps, homogenizers, filter presses, and tablet compression machines
• Follow standard operating procedures to meet GMP standards and maintain accurate records
• Ensure compliance with Good Practice (GXP) requirements by inspecting products, addressing deviations promptly, and maintaining documentation
• Stay current with field advances and apply agile problem-solving by testing, iterating, and refining solutions
• Participate in team projects to develop process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
• Make minor decisions within task scope, requiring enhanced technical skills and problem-solving abilities
• Commit to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance in operations

Job Requirements

At least NITEC in Chemical Process Technology, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical and Life Sciences or equivalent.
