Job summary

Alcon in Singapore’s Tuas South campus is seeking a Technician III to operate automated manufacturing equipment to produce, package and sterilize contact lenses, ensuring products meet quality standards. You will support batch documentation and adhere to GMP and 5S practices.

The role requires rotating 12-hour shifts, involving the DSM Flex line and autoclave operation, line changes, and preventive maintenance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• GMP experience in a controlled manufacturing/production environment is an advantage; training will be provided.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a manufacturing team.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts (day and night).

Responsibilities

• Operate DSM Flex line to manufacture quality contact lens products.
• Operate Autoclave for sterilization of lenses.
• Perform lot changes and routine maintenance on DSM Flex lines and related equipment.
• Maintain 5S standards and complete batch documentation per procedures.

As a Technician lll you are tasked to operate automated manufacturing equipment to produce, package and sterilize contact lenses ensuring products produced are of acceptable quality level at Tuas.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Operate 1 DSM Flex line together with team to manufacture quality products.
• Operate Autoclave machine for the sterilization of contact lenses.
• Perform lot changes and maintenance of DSM Flex lines.
• Ensure good 5S standards, batch documentation completeness in accordance to procedures for DSM Flex lines and supporting equipment such as autoclaves.

What You'll Bring to Alcon

• Professional Certificate/Nitec in Engineering field
• Experience in GMP controlled manufacturing/production environment is an advantage; training will be provided
• Able to work 12 hours rotating shifts (Monthly rotation from day to night shift and vice versa)
