Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Technician III based in Tuas South, Singapore to operate automated manufacturing equipment for contact lenses, ensuring quality and compliant documentation. The role involves rotating 12-hour shifts and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain high standards of GMP manufacturing.

The successful candidate will have a professional certificate or diploma and be able to operate the DSM Flex line and autoclave, with a proactive approach to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma in a relevant manufacturing/production field.
• Experience in GMP controlled manufacturing is an advantage.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts (day to night).

Responsibilities

• Operate 1 DSM Flex line to manufacture quality products.
• Operate Autoclave for sterilization of contact lenses.
• Perform lot changes and maintenance on DSM Flex lines.
• Maintain 5S standards and complete batch documentation per procedures.
• Initiate and execute at least 1 Kaizen idea per year.

As a Technician lll you are tasked to operate automated manufacturing equipment to produce, package and sterilize contact lenses ensuring products produced are of acceptable quality level at Tuas.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Operate 1 DSM Flex line together with team to manufacture quality products.
• Operate Autoclave machine for the sterilization of contact lenses.
• Perform lot changes and maintenance of DSM Flex lines.
• Ensure good 5S standards, batch documentation completeness in accordance to procedures for DSM Flex lines and supporting equipment such as autoclaves.
• Initiate and execute at least 1 Kaizen idea per year.

What You'll Bring to Alcon

• Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma Experience in GMP controlled manufacturing/production environment is an advantage.
• Able to work 12 hours rotating shifts (Monthly rotation from day to night shift and vice versa).
