Job summary

CapitaLand is seeking a Technician, Engineering to handle general maintenance and minor repairs in our serviced residence. You will coordinate with Housekeeping and Guest Services to ensure smooth guest experiences and take part in routine preventive maintenance.

Applicants should have a Professional Certificate/NITEC in Electrical/Mechanical/Aircon Maintenance and ideally 1 year of hospitality experience, with strong English communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• Professional Certificate/NITEC in Electrical/Mechanical/Aircon Maintenance or equivalent.
• Preferably 1 year of related hospitality experience.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Able to work well in teams and independently.
• Willingness to perform rotating shift duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building conditions and ensure heating, lighting and ventilation are in good working order.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs: painting, patching walls, plumbing, aircon servicing, electrical fixtures.
• Carry out routine preventive maintenance programs.
• Inspect and check building machinery and equipment.
• Prioritize maintenance requests to ensure guest satisfaction.

Job Description

The Technician, Engineering is responsible for the general maintenance and/or minor repairs of equipment, facilities in the Serviced Residence, and to perform repairs etc, as required. Close co-operation with various departments including Housekeeping and Guest Service ensures the smooth stay of our guests at all times. The job responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:

• Maintaining the physical conditions of the building and ensure that the building has adequate heating, lightings and ventilation etc and that they are in good working condition
• General maintenance and repair works such as, painting, patching walls, plumbing facilities, aircon servicing, and electrical switches and other fixtures and equipment to ensure smooth operations
• Perform routine preventive maintenance program
• Check and inspect the building's machinery and equipment
• Respond and prioritise maintenance requisitions (MWO) and guests' requests to ensure our guests receive quality service and furnishings

Job Requirements

• At least a Professional Certificate/NITEC in Electrical / Mechanical / Aircon Maintenance or an equivalent
• Preferably 1 year of related working experience in the hospitality industry
• Ability to communicate in English
• Ability to work well in teams and independently
• Responsible and self-motivated
• Ability to perform rotating shift duties
