Job summary

CapitaLand Group is seeking a skilled Technician, Engineering for our Serviced Residence operations. You will perform general maintenance and minor repairs to ensure guest comfort and safety, coordinating with Housekeeping and Guest Service.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inspecting machinery, handling repairs such as painting, plumbing, aircon servicing, and responding to maintenance requests to uphold service quality.

Qualifications

• At least a Professional Certificate/NITEC in Electrical / Mechanical / Aircon Maintenance or an equivalent.
• Preferably 1 year of related working experience in the hospitality industry.
• Ability to communicate in English
• Ability to work well in teams and independently
• Rotating shift duties are required

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical conditions of the building and ensure heating, lighting and ventilation systems are in good working condition.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs (painting, patching walls, plumbing, aircon servicing, electrical works).
• Implement routine preventive maintenance programs.
• Check and inspect building machinery and equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requisitions and guest requests to ensure quality service.

Job Description

The Technician, Engineering is responsible for the general maintenance and/or minor repairs of equipment, facilities in the Serviced Residence, and to perform repairs etc, as required. Close co-operation with various departments including Housekeeping and Guest Service ensures the smooth stay of our guests at all times. The job responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:

• Maintaining the physical conditions of the building and ensure that the building has adequate heating, lightings and ventilation etc and that they are in good working condition
• General maintenance and repair works such as, painting, patching walls, plumbing facilities, aircon servicing, and electrical switches and other fixtures and equipment to ensure smooth operations
• Perform routine preventive maintenance program
• Check and inspect the building's machinery and equipment
• Respond and prioritise maintenance requisitions ( MWO ) and guests' requests to ensure our guests receive quality service and furnishings

Job Requirements

• At least a Professional Certificate/NITEC in Electrical / Mechanical / Aircon Maintenance or an equivalent
• Preferably 1 year of related working experience in the hospitality industry
• Ability to communicate in English
• Ability to work well in teams and independently
• Responsible and self-motivated
• Ability to perform rotating shift duties
