Job summary

Keppel Ltd. is seeking an on-site Plant Operator to manage daily desalination operations and ensure quality across all stages. You will cooperate with control room staff and engineers to run processes smoothly and safely, while monitoring performance and reporting progress.

The role requires at least 2 years in water treatment or process plant maintenance, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to multi-task across shifts. Forklift license is a plus and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related water treatment or process plant maintenance experience.
• Able to perform troubleshooting and be familiar with water treatment plant equipment.
• Able to multi-task and be innovative to resolve problems on site.
• Overtime and shift work may be required; knowledge of Lab Operations is a plus; Forklift License is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate the desalination plant at each stage and ensure quality requirements.

• Assist plant improvement initiatives and monitoring as needed.

• Daily check and submit progress reports on O&M work.
• Report abnormalities or equipment failures for rectification.
• Undertake installation and field troubleshooting with minimal supervision.
• Accept multi-tasking and additional responsibilities to support O&M of the plant.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Responsible for the daily plant operational activities at each stage of the desalination process and its quality requirement.
• Operate the plant by coordinating on site with the control room operators and engineers.
• Perform O&M work in strict compliance with safety, environment pollution control and housekeeping.
• Support troubleshooting of plant processes when required.
• Support plant improvement initiatives and monitoring as required.
• Receive materials and chemicals, verify the quality of the shipment from the COA and maintain proper inventory
• Conduct isolation and normalization of equipment as required by the Permit-To-Work system
• Conduct daily check and submit daily reports on the progress of the O&M work.
• Report any abnormality or failure of equipment for rectification work
• Responsible to undertake installation fieldwork and equipment troubleshooting with minimum supervision
• Accept multi-tasking; willing to take on extra responsibilities to support O&M of the plant
• Accept ad hoc assignment given by the supervisors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
