Job summary

Keppel Management Ltd. is seeking a Plant Maintenance/Operator to oversee daily desalination plant operations and ensure quality standards across all stages. You will coordinate on-site with control room operators and engineers, performing O&M tasks and troubleshooting as needed.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience in water treatment, ability to multi-task, and willingness to work overtime or shifts if required. Forklift license is a plus and safety compliance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related water treatment or process plant maintenance experience.
• Able to perform trouble shooting skills and be familiar with water treatment plant equipment.
• Able to multi-task and be proactive to resolve problems on site.
• Able to perform overtime and shift work if required.
• Knowledge of Lab Operations Process and/or Possession of Forklift License is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily plant operational activities at each stage of the desalination process and its quality requirements.
• Operate the plant by coordinating on site with the control room operators and engineers.
• Perform O&M work in compliance with safety, environmental pollution controls and housekeeping.
• Support troubleshooting of plant processes when required.
• Support plant improvement initiatives and monitoring as required.
• Receive materials and chemicals, verify shipment quality from the COA and maintain inventory.
• Conduct isolation and normalization of equipment as required by the Permit-To-Work system.
• Conduct daily checks and submit daily reports on the progress of the O&M work.
• Report any abnormality or failure of equipment for rectification work.
• Responsible to undertake installation fieldwork and equipment troubleshooting with minimum supervision.
• Accept multi-tasking; willing to take on extra responsibilities to support O&M of the plant.
• Accept ad hoc assignments given by the supervisors.
