Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Technician to assist with operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial buildings and facilities in Singapore. The role involves supervising term contractors, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The candidate should hold a Technical Diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant experience and be able to communicate effectively and operate standard office software.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in building or mechanical with 3 years of experience.
• Able to communicate clearly and exchange information; proficient with office software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Term Contractor workmen and ensure adherence to contracts.
• Coordinate maintenance tasks, service facilities, conservancy work and others.
• Liaise with Contractors for proper work procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Certify and submit Contractor final reports for completion and payment.
• Review service requests and fault reports logged by users.
• Perform periodic quality checks on equipment and systems.
• Follow up on repairs/replacements and resolve faults.
• Attend to tenant/client complaints and feedback.
• Carry out daily walkthrough inspections for building defects and systems with checklists.
• Escalate issues to supervisor for closure and attend to urgent faults after hours.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by Client/FM team.

Job Title Technician Job Description Summary Responsible to assist with the operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties/facilities.

About the Role

1. Supervise Term Contractor workmen to carry out work as stipulated in respective contracts
2. Supervise works on maintenance matters, service facilities, conservancy work and others
3. Liaise with Contractors to ensure proper work procedures adhere to authorities’ regulations and act
4. Certify and submit the Term Contractor’s final report detailing work done at site for preparation of completion certificate for payment
5. Review service request cases, fault reporting and enquiries logged in by users
6. Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems
7. Follow up with repair/replacement works where necessary
8. Attend to complaints and feedback from tenants/clients.
9. Carry out daily walkthrough inspection for building defect and system equipment with checklist and signed off.
10. Escalate to superior for required follow-up for closure.
11. Attend to any other matter as assigned from time to time including breakdown maintenance.
12. Available to return to site after office hours, whenever required, to attend to and resolve any urgent fault cases.
13. Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Client/FM team.

About You

• Minimally with Technical Diploma holder in building, Mechanical or equivalent NTEC certificate or ITE certificate with 3 years of experience
• Able to communicate with others and exchange accurate information; operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
