Job summary

SG Managing Agent Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Facilities Technician to perform daily inspections, carry out basic maintenance across common areas, and monitor M&E systems in our managed properties. You will coordinate with contractors, maintain records, and support routine preventive tasks.

Responding to emergencies and ensuring safety and reliability of building services are also key parts of the role, with opportunities to contribute to upgrades and improvements as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily checks on essential equipment to ensure proper operation
• Inspect common areas including lift lobbies, car parks, toilets, rooftops, driveways, and plant rooms
• Check and maintain common area lighting, including car park lights, EXIT signs, and directional signage
• Inspect rooftop areas to ensure floor gratings are clear and drainage systems are functioning
• Perform basic testing and visual checks on common area M&E systems
• Assist in first line troubleshooting such as resetting ELCB, isolating faulty circuits, and identifying abnormalities
• Carry out minor repairs and replacements (e.g. lighting, switches, fittings)
• Monitor operating condition of pumps, switchboards, and air-conditioning systems and report irregularities
• Support routine inspections of LT switchboards, pumps, and common area systems without performing specialist repairs
• Escalate major faults or breakdowns promptly to the Site Manager for contractor engagement
• Assist with routine inspections and preventive maintenance checks
• Maintain inspection checklists and basic maintenance records
• Respond to emergency situations such as power trips, flooding, or equipment alarms and carry out immediate safety measures
• Coordinate with contractors during servicing, breakdowns, or rectification works
• Recommend repairs, improvements, or upgrading works when appropriate
• Assist in supervising contractors carrying out maintenance or minor improvement works
• Coordinate access for contractors and ensure works are carried out safely
• Report abnormalities, defects, or malfunctions promptly to the Site Manager or Estate Officer
• Maintain inventory of tools, bulbs, spare parts, and equipment
• Monitor stock levels and arrange purchase of basic parts upon approval
• Maintain records of complaints attended to and works completed
• Attend to occupier complaints relating to common areas and minor services (e.g. resetting ELCB)
• Respond promptly to emergency calls such as power failure, flooding, or system breakdowns
• Escalate major issues immediately and follow emergency procedures
