Job summary

caliber8 is seeking a Technical Superintendent based in Singapore to lead the technical operations of container vessels, monitor performance, and oversee maintenance and PMS compliance. You will coordinate with crew, classification societies, and third-party providers to sustain safety and efficiency.

The role requires a Chief Engineer ranking on container vessels, CoC Class 1, and readiness to travel for inspections and dry-dock supervision.

Qualifications

Must hold CoC Class 1 and have served as Chief Engineer on container vessels.
Experience ashore as Technical Superintendent for container ships.
Proficient with MS Office and vessel management software.
Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day technical operations of assigned tankers and/or gas carriers.
Monitor vessel performance, fuel efficiency, and machinery health.
Plan and supervise routine maintenance, dry-dockings, and repairs.
Coordinate with onboard crew and ensure compliance with planned maintenance systems (PMS).
Liaise with classification societies, flag states, and third-party service providers.
Manage budgets for assigned vessels, track expenditures, and control costs.
Investigate technical incidents and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
Assist in the development and execution of energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
