Qualifications

• Engineer Qualification with First Class Chief Engineers Motor license from an IMO whitelist country.
• Degree in Marine Engineering/Naval Architecture/Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Responsabilités

• Act as single point of accountability, monitoring all onboard activities and providing Technical & Operational Guidance to the Master & crew.
• Ensure Safety & Environmental Compliance with respect to Statutory Regulations, Company Policy & SMS, Industry Best Practice & owner requirements.
• Monitor and support all operations onboard nominated vessels to ensure compliance with regulations, policy, SMS, and owner requirements while meeting KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with Wallem's SMS, flag and class rules, state requirements, TMSA and other vetting agencies.
• Support Operations superintendent and collaborate to operate vessels under the SMS and Shipman Agreement.
• Manage budgetary expenditure on nominated vessels and provide timely reports to Fleet Manager and Owners.
• Ensure vessels operate within KPIs while prioritising safety and pollution prevention and coordinating with departments to meet commercial expectations.
• Act as Client/Owners point of contact to maintain customer service and protect the Wallem brand.
• Provide direction and mentorship to senior sea staff for safe operations and career development.
• Maintain knowledge of Technical Superintendent Work Instructions and complete tasks for nominated vessels.
• Monitor and optimise vessel and seafarer performance with adequate resources.
• Review development areas of seafarers and set clear goals.
• Participate in Shore base Emergency Response as required.
• Complete additional tasks as requested by Fleet Manager.
