Job summary

caliber8 is seeking a Technical Superintendent based in Singapore to lead the technical operations of container vessels, monitor performance, and oversee maintenance and PMS compliance. You will coordinate with crew, classification societies, and third-party providers to sustain safety and efficiency.

The role requires a Chief Engineer ranking on container vessels, CoC Class 1, and readiness to travel for inspections and dry-dock supervision.

Qualifications

• Must hold CoC Class 1 and have served as Chief Engineer on container vessels.
• Experience ashore as Technical Superintendent for container ships.
• Proficient with MS Office and vessel management software.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day technical operations of assigned tankers and/or gas carriers.
• Monitor vessel performance, fuel efficiency, and machinery health.
• Plan and supervise routine maintenance, dry-dockings, and repairs.
• Coordinate with onboard crew and ensure compliance with planned maintenance systems (PMS).
• Liaise with classification societies, flag states, and third-party service providers.
• Manage budgets for assigned vessels, track expenditures, and control costs.
• Investigate technical incidents and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Assist in the development and execution of energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day technical operations of assigned tankers and/or gas carriers.
