Job summary

Randstad Singapore is seeking a proactive Technical Program Engineer to join our client’s Singapore office and drive regional fiber‑optic deployment projects in data centers and telecoms.

You will design, develop, and support fiber solutions, coordinate with customers, engineering teams and vendors, generate BOMs and installation guides, train partners, and perform on-site troubleshooting across APAC with frequent travel.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years in fiber-optic connectivity or data center infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret data center layouts, cable schedules and fiber schematics.

Responsibilities

• Analyze network architectures, building layouts, and installation constraints to design optimized end-to-end fiber connectivity solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical project documentation, including bills of materials (BOM), cable drawings, and installation guides.
• Collaborate with Product Management to customize connectivity products when standard offerings do not meet specific density, routing, or pathway needs.
• Deliver comprehensive technical training to installation partners and customers on fiber handling, splicing, cleaning, and testing procedures.
• Perform onsite troubleshooting and fault isolation for fiber-performance issues using testing equipment.
• Travel frequently within the APAC region to provide onsite deployment and technical support.

About Our Client:

Our client is a global leader in manufacturing advanced connectivity and infrastructure solutions for data centers, telecommunications, and enterprise networks. They are currently seeking a proactive Technical Program Engineer to join their Singapore office and drive regional fiber‑optic deployment projects.

The Role:

Acting as the primary technical liaison, you will design, develop, and support fiber‑optic connectivity solutions for critical Data Center (DC) projects. You will partner with customers, internal engineering teams, and installation vendors to recommend optimal products, generate technical documentation, and ensure successful on‑the‑ground deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze network architectures, building layouts, and installation constraints to design optimized end‑to‑end fiber connectivity solutions.
